About Taura
Taura Mizrahi is a fundraising professional with over twenty years of experience. As a grant writer, Taura has successfully raised millions of dollars over the years.
Taura shifted from a career in the entertainment industry to a career in service to others by taking on the role of Director of Development at Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica and later Boys & Girls Club of Venice. At the Boys & Girls Clubs, she oversaw several fundraising events, wrote grants, worked on various campaigns, coordinated direct mail appeals, and generated all press and marketing materials. Taura began The Write Approach so that she could work with a variety of clients to help them reach their fundraising goals.
Taura graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Humanities and an emphasis on English Literature and Film from the University of Colorado. She received her Masters degree from the University of Southern California Master of Professional Writing Program where she was awarded with the Eugenia D. Van Low Fellowship and the Academy Foundation Grant (AMPAS). While at USC Taura was the Associate Fiction Editor and the Managing Editor of the Southern California Anthology, an acclaimed literary journal. She has also studied at Charles University in Prague. She has also completed the Grantsmanship Center Training Program. Taura is a published author whose work has been featured on Oprah, and in People Magazine.
