Whether you need a program request, a capital request, or general operating support, I can walk you through the process from identifying potential funders to submitting your request. I specialize in requests to private foundations, family foundations and corporate foundations. Once we have a plan in place, I work with you and your staff to learn about your services and programs. During this process, I will need some help from you. Data, numbers, and financials will need to be provided to complete the work. Many organizations do not realize that they are using outdated or even conflicting data. Once we get everything updated, I can help you determine what systems need to be put in place to keep information current. |

The Process
Grant writing is a partnership between the grant writer and the organization. I may be doing the writing, but we will be working together to make sure I have the information needed to write your grants. At times I may need to speak with various members of your staff for program, organization, and financial information.

During a free initial, no-obligation conversation, we will discuss your grant writing needs and goals. I will then share with you my ideas and we will sign a simple agreement that outlines rates, terms and guidelines.

TermsBecause projects vary greatly in scope, duration and commitment, rates are determined on a per project basis.
Flat rates for grant writing typically max out at ten hours and hourly rates are available with a two-hour minimum. There are many factors that go into a grant being approved for funding. A well-written grant is only a piece of the puzzle. While I will provide you with a professionally written grant, and while I do have a proven track record of successful funding, there are no guarantees that your request will be funded. |
